In this book there are two stories – one story is about a Jewish girl named Sarah during the Vel d’Hiv Roundup in France, and the other story is about an American journalist named Julia who finds out about a lot of terrible things that went on during this time while writing an article about the Vel d’Hiv sixty years later.

 This book was a page-turner. I really enjoyed the author's writing.

This book has many layers and they're all cleverly woven together to create this suspenseful page-turner. The two women's stories were so good! The characters and the situations felt real and believable. When I got to the first big twist, I had to stop and absorb it. A great, twisty book about the complexities of marriage and how there are three sides to every story - yours, theirs and the truth.  4/5.

Carver Briggs is a high school student at Nashville Academy for the Arts. He makes up one fourth of the Sauce Crew along with his best friends Blake, Eli and Mars. Carver's talent is writing.
