DCI Erika Foster is searching a quarry that is no longer used. She's looking for a huge amount of heroin packed into a waterproof container. Not only does she find it, she also finds the skeleton of a young child. The remains are quickly identified as seven-year-old Jessica Collins. A little girl who went missing twenty-six years ago on her way to a birthday party. Erika soon realizes this is going to be one of the hardest cases she's ever taken on. She has to dig through old evidence, piece it together with new evidence and find out all she can from the first detective on the case, Amanda Baker. But there's someone out there who doesn't want anyone finding out what happened to Jessica Collins and they'll stop at nothing to keep anyone who gets close to the truth silent.

This is the third book in the DCI Erika Foster series. I found most of it slow compared to the other two, but it really picked up towards the end. I did not like what little romance was in the book. It felt out of place. I wanted Erika to remain a strong woman on her own. Other than that this book is like the previous two - a well-written page-turner!

To be honest I don't remember a whole lot about that book, only that I had fun reading it and it shed some light on the dangers of social media. The same can be said about this book. Instead of focusing only on Twitter like the first book, we learn about Snapchat (okay, maybe I'm the only one who learned about it) and even though it may seem safer, you just never know what can happen. I was a little surprised at who the culprit was in this one. I enjoyed a look into Eric Thorn's life, how demanding and hectic it is to be famous.
