The Secret Life of Bees

Fourteen year old Lily is isolated on the Georgia farm where she lives with her father who physically and emotionally abuses her. Lily's mother was killed when she was a small child, and all she has left of her is an image of a Black Madonna with the words "Tiburon, South Carolina" written on the back.

Lily accompanies their housekeeper into town which leads to them running away from home and finding Tiburon, South Carolina. There they stay with bee keeping sisters who help Lily in her quest to find out more about her mother.

Goodbye Days

Carver Briggs is a high school student at Nashville Academy for the Arts. He makes up one fourth of the Sauce Crew along with his best friends Blake, Eli and Mars. Carver's talent is writing. The cruel irony is that he just killed his three best friends with a simple text that said "Where are you guys? Text me back."
